Dear User,
Here is a list of the latest changes we implemented in Aviary during Sprint 51. These are available on the site as of June 29, 2020. Complete change log can be found in the Aviary Knowledge Base.
Enhancements
We have improved the style of the Resource Detail Page:
Resource detail tabs and metadata have been updated:
Search this resource section updated
Tab colors updated
Section under tabs updated
Transcript/Index/Description text color and timecode colors updated
Resource detail search results have been updated:
Colors changed
Results toggle changed
Search term section changed
Navigation buttons changed
Highlighting changed for each search term (different color for each search term)
Media-related buttons have now been moved from under the media player to the top right corner of the media player. When users hover over the player, they will see these buttons in white in the top right corner of the player.
Playlist button (when present) appears at the top right of the Media Player
Share button (when present) appears at the top right of the Media Player
Download button (when present) appears at the top right of the Media Player.
We have removed the “Tombstone” information that used to reside under the media player. This metadata, in the past, included the Resource Title, the Organization that owns the resource (this was removed in the previous sprint), the Collection that the Resource is part of, and any metadata added by the organization. Note: Tombstone metadata will still appear with the resource in its display card in search result sets.
We moved the Resource Title so that it now displays at the top left above the Media player.
We have removed the full stickiness of the organization header throughout the site. Now when a user scrolls, they can move the media player up to the top of the browser window and the header will scroll up out of the frame. This gives the viewer more room, if desired, to see the transcripts and indexes in a larger space while interacting with the media player.
Added an ellipses to the end of the Playlist description when description is longer than two lines.
Fixes
Fixed issues related to highlighting of search results in Playlist entries. Now results in playlist entry titles and descriptions are highlighted with Aviary’s new highlighting schema.
Fixed issue that did not allow public users to access public playlist pages. Now a public user can view a public playlist and view all of the public resources and is not prompted to sign in.
Complete change log can be found in the Aviary Knowledge Base.
