Here is a list of the latest changes we implemented in Aviary during Sprint 37. These will be available on the site as of October 28, 2019.
Enhancements
CODE REFACTORING
Reorganizing how custom metadata fields for resources are created and managed by the Aviary database to improve efficiency and ease of use.
Containerizing the application and all supporting services to make it easier to deploy Aviary and to scale the platform as usage requires.
CUSTOM FIELDS
Ongoing improvements to creation and management of custom fields for both resources including search, bulk edit, bulk import, and display.
Changed RSS XML values for images so they all point to a single image URL in order to make Podcast feeds compatible with Google Play and Spotify.
Ability to see a dynamic list of organization resources when searching and adding them to a permission group.
Improved relevance in search results.
Improved search to include resources containing a searched keyword in the results.
Ability to select a specific starting point for a media file when embedding Aviary media.
Fixes
Fixed Digital Object Sync issues in ArchivesSpace integration.
