Here is a list of the latest changes we implemented in Aviary during Sprint 36. These will be available on the site as of October 15, 2019.
New Features
URL CUSTOMIZATION
Added ability to provide a DNS alias for an organization instead of the Aviary subdomain.
Enhancements
CUSTOM FIELDS
Ongoing improvements to creation and management of custom fields for both resources including search, bulk edit, bulk import, and display.
Added Organization as a searchable field in the main search.
Added warning when “Reason for requesting access” field (required) has not been filled out by user.
Reduced size and weight of the media filename below the media player on a resource detail page.
Hid filename under media player when only one file is associated with a resource.
Added ability to highlight search results for vocabulary terms.
Fixes
Fixed issues with RSS feeds not working on Android devices.
Fixed issues with registration of new organizations.
Fixed issue with organization pages not loading any resources in the Resources tab if none were Featured.
Fixed issue with Access Requests not sending email notifications to all organization admins.
Fixed issue with Date Range facet acting in dependency with the Duration facet.
Fixed issue with Duration facet not allowing zero values (such as 00:00)
Fixed issue with playback scrolling not working properly for long media files.
Fixed issue with users not getting redirected to a resource page after requesting access to it.
Fixed issues with long transcripts not being fully displayed.
